Wolf's first love note

So, he came home from school, pulled something out of his backpack and ran to his room. Later, Scout helpfully explained, Wolf has a girlfriend. Her name is Madeline and I know she's his girlfriend because she drew him a card with "lots of hearts."

Frankly, I'm really not sure what to make of this. However, according to Wolf, now (a few days after receipt of the note), they're "just friends."
