The First Soccer Game

For Wolf, the soccer game was pure joy. And he was really good. When he was in the game, he was making some great defensive saves and when he was on the sidelines, he never stopped cheering on his teammates.

Sweaty and happy.

For Scout, not so much. Well, eventually she got into it, but at first, it was a lot like going to the park when she was two -- too many kids and she won't play. And there were a LOT of people out there at the soccer fields.

So, Wolf talked to her...

This was so sweet, I almost started crying too.

Then Troy talked to her.

Okay, this looks sweet too, but what he really said was, if you don't want to play, then you probably don't want to go to the birthday party later today either.

That worked.
